Our History

In Loving Memory of Cecelia Marjon Goodridge

In the mid-1990s, the Perry and Goodridge families relocated from Boston, Massachusetts to Columbus, Ohio. During those early years, they discovered a shared passion — a true calling — to serve others through compassionate home healthcare.

That calling began to take shape when siblings, the late Cecelia Marjon Goodridge and Ralph G. Perry, envisioned creating a home health agency committed to dignity, respect, and heartfelt care. In October 2002, Cecelia crafted a list of four potential agency names. One stood out above the rest — Caring Hearts Home Health Services — a name that perfectly captured their purpose. The following month, Ralph officially registered the business in the State of Ohio.

But before their dream could fully launch, tragedy struck. On January 18, 2003, Cecelia was called home to be with the Lord. Although she was no longer with us in body, her spirit and vision became the foundation of everything Caring Hearts would grow to represent: People. Quality Care. Peace of Mind.

In August 2003, Caring Hearts Home Health Services proudly served its very first client. And from that day to this one, we remain committed to extending the same love, compassion, and dedication that inspired Cecelia’s dream.
